UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE ESOL EXAMINATIONS

Cambridge ESOL offers the world's leading range of certificates for learners and teachers of English - taken by over 3 million people in 130 countries. They help people gain entrance to university or college, improve job prospects or measure progress in English. More than 11,000 employers, universities and government bodies around the world recognise Cambridge ESOL qualifications.

Pribadi Bilingual Boarding School starting from the beginning of 2010 has been administering Cambridge ESOL examinations, mainly KET for Schools, PET for Schools and FCE for Schools as an Official Testing Center for the students of our school and other students willing to test their level of English command. Tests take place according to the official schedule provided by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations.

KET (Key English Test) for Schools

KET for Schools is a certificate that shows a pupil can deal with everyday written and spoken English at a basic level. For March Session 2011, 17 students from our school registered and took this test.

PET (Preliminary English Test) for Schools

PET for Schools is a certificate that shows a pupil can deal with everyday written and spoken English at an intermediate level. For March Session 2011, 18 students from our school registered and took this test.

FCE (First Certificate English) for Schools

Cambridge English: First, commonly known as First Certificate in English (FCE), is a popular upper-intermediate English exam. It shows that a learner is becoming skilled in English and has the ability to:

• start working in an English speaking environment
• study at an upper-intermediate level - such as foundation or pathway courses.
